why does the area around my stress fracture feel warmer then the rest of my body!

Question: Why does the area around my stress fracture feel warmer then the rest of my body?
I have a femoral neck stress fracture, and quite often that area feels really warm,

Answers:

Any part of the body that has more blood supply than average will be warmer than average part of the body. Remember that blood distributes heat, amongst other things, to the body parts.
Now, why does the stress fracture area feel warmer? It is because more blood will go to that area (by dilatation of its blood vessels). The need for more blood is because healing chemicals in plasma and cells that help the healing are all present in the blood.
Inflammation (whether with or without infection) also produces the same scenario because cells and antibodies combating the inflammation are present in blood.

Infection?

Because it is healing so more blood is flowing to that area
