Do you think I have Restless Leg Syndrome?!

Question: Do you think I have Restless Leg Syndrome?
2 years ago, i was trying to fall asleep but i couldn't because my legs started feeling weird.
the feeling is kind of ticklish, but then it's really uncomfortable. and when i move my legs around the feeling goes away for a few seconds.

do you know any ways to help it go away permanantly?
i've been stretching my legs for an hour before i go to sleep every night, but that only works temperarily.
i heard that putting a pillow between your leg helps it go away but that didn't work for me.
i asked my mom if we could go see a doctor about my legs but she says it's a waste of insurance, she won't take me to the doctor.

because of my legs i have been losing a lot of sleep, anyone help?

Answers:

You may have. I have it and it runs in my family. It is not like a leg cramp it is more like fidgety feelings you just can't keep still. I have had it for years and it can come anytime and keep you awake for hours on end. Pillows don't help, walking around doesn't help. There is a new med out for restless leg syndrome. I haven't tried it, but it might be worth a shot. I have had a many asleepless night because of this. Get with a doctor or try over the counter medication first and see if that brings any relief. Good luck, because it can be exhausting.

Your doctor could give you a prescription for Lorazapam .25 mg which is similar to Xanax but much milder and less habit forming, that will relax you and make your legs feel less fidgety.
RLS is usually caused by stress or anxiety.
