I haven't been able to sleep for the past 5 days!?!


Question: I haven't been able to sleep for the past 5 days!?
I'll sleep a little but between usually 3:00-5:00am I'll wake up and have to go sleep in my moms room. I don't know why and it is getting very annoying. It is now 1:30am on a school day and I cannot sleep AGAIN. I went to bed a little after 10:00pm and woke up at 1:00am this morning...
Will I ever be able to sleep again, or is this just a phase?
Is there a name for what I am experiencing?
I am a 14 1/2 year old girl if this makes any difference.

I have the same problem. I haven't slept at all tonight, and its almost 3:00am here. I've had a lot of stress, but I don't know why. I also have an odd way of thinking that I'm not a good person. I think I look fine, and that I'm not fat or anything, and my hair is beautiful and all that whoo haa. But I think of a lot of random things at times, that are usually in my past. distance past, or fairly recent. I think of how weird, embarrassing, or mean that was. And then I think horribly of myself. I start thinking I'm a horrible person. I put on a tv show and I sleep better. but sometimes its my pillow. sometimes I'm hungry. Sometimes I'm scared, so I go inspect. Sometimes I have to go to the bathroom, but I don't realize it (which can often be the cause of an upset stomach) Sometimes I get afraid of the dark, so I turn on a lamp,or my clock dimmer. Or occasionally even my light. Sometimes I feel lonely, so I find some random chat room, and start talkin' like a maniac. Or come on Y!A Sometimes I for some reason can't sleep in my room, so I crawl in bed with my mom or dad. Sometimes I'm afraid, or excited of the next days upcoming events, so I move my mind to something else by turning on a tv show. Sometimes I need entertainment, so I get on the computer or watch tv. I believe this is just a phase, or it could be just stress. I don't have too much stress. I personally am giving myself a fresh start on feeling better by painting my room, cleaning it, and redecorating it. Hope this helped!! Good luck sleeping!!



sleep aphnia? i'm not an expert of any sorts but this is the first "disorder" i thought of, it may not be though i mean, i dont know the symptoms or anything but you could look it up perhaps?



What about getting off the computer around this time



I have a similar problem but I'm up until 5 or so then fall asleep til 12 or when I have to get up for schoo/work Ots very annoying I would try taking sleeping pills like the ones I got idk what kind of medicine it is but it's like walmart brand night time sleep aid is what it's called I take it an hour to an hour and fifteen before bet an it last about 8 hours at first but it won't work for long ecspcialy if you try to wake up before they wear off and drink like an energy drink so now I will fall asleep and wake up every hour on the hour for the last like 2-3 hours but if you can get onto a schedule that you are doing every single day even weekend/ holidays so you don't screw your schedule up! Ps they seem to kick in really hard and alley wear off pss im 18 but 5'3 and 110 ish If that helps
