Question: Could I have possibly broken my toe? Please Read?
This morning when I was getting something off a top shelf I was coming off the counter and I slammed my toe insanely hard against the corner of the counter and the wind was knocked out of me, it hurt that bad. I gto a ride to school and have been sitting in class instead of going out side. I had walk home and it hurts sooo much to walk on it and i just looked at it right now and its not really red, just a little and it's swollen, not alot but noticeabley swollen and it's a little crooked, it might not even be crooked, I've just never really looked that hard at it and noticed it to be swollen.

Oh and I frogot to add that it is the toe beside my baby toe[=
Thanks! Im going to put ice on it right now.

Answers:

I am betting that the toe is broken and I would treat it as such. Use ice for the swelling for 15 minutes three times a day. Elevate your foot with the bad toe on it whilst sitting in a chair or lying in bed. Get some adhesive medical tape and tape the bad toe to the toe next to it. Leave the tape on for three to four weeks. You will probably need to change the tape at least once a week. Try to keep your weight off of the toe as much as possible. No unnecessary standing or walking. You should not need crutches.
