Does the tetanus shot hurt?!
Question: Does the tetanus shot hurt?
I have to get my tetanus shot tomorrow, and usually shots don't effect me. But, I have a hockey game later tomorrow night and I know some shots can make your arm sore for a couple of days and I'm wondering if the Tetanus shot hurts and stays sore ?
If so, is there anything I can do to help stop the pain/inflammation?
Answers:
I just got one myself. I did not receive any noticeable inflammation and was only minimally sore at the injection point for about half a day. I'm sure the after effects vary from person to person, but I can't imagine that it would impinge upon your movement or performance. Like I said, the soreness was slight and it did not last long for me personally.
Personal experience
when i got a tetanus shot i asked the doc if he had put it in yet and when i looke the needle was already out it doesnt hurt at all, likke a masquito bite is all you feel and its sore just a tiny bit you just have to keep movement with your arm after they do it
it's no different than getting a flu shot or stung be a bee. you will most likely have some slight discomfort and soreness in the area of the tetanus shot, but nothing to impair you from playing in a hockey game.
