What can I do to help my knee?!

Question: What can I do to help my knee?
I busted my knee today - I think it's a sprain but 'm not sure. I can't go to the doctor because I don't have insurance and I only have five bucks in my wallet (literally). I've been keeping it in a brace when I walk and I put ice on it when I'm laying down. Is there anything else I can do to help it heal faster? What will make it worse? Will it be even worse tomorrow when I wake up?

Thank you!

Ouch! You could have mildly dislocated your knee, two of my friends have done that. The best thing is probably using that brace and not putting a lot of weight on your knee. (But I'm saying DO NOT LIMP.)
and while you rest give your knee 30 minutes of ice, 30 minutes off.
While you're laying down try to keep it elevated (Up, try to keep it above your heart, this might include sleeping, too)

Is that brace comforting your knee? Wear it also when you're laying down.

I wish I knew a magician to help out injuries, but I'm afraid you're gonna have to let your body do this, while doing the things instructed. Doing nice warm baths (Showers) can help relax your knee, too.

Do not limp, don't add weight on it (duh, if it hurts especially), don't poke it/touch it excessively.

It might hurt a bit more when you wake up, if you're an active sleeper (Kick off sheets, etc.) and all I can say is to try and immobilize your leg (Put extra pillows around it to keep it from moving/twitching).

I hope your knee gets better!

Well if it heals wrong it could be bad, go check out webmd dot com, but ice is a good thing if it is swollen lol sorry haven't written that word in awhile, swollen lol ok sorry but try that.
