Muscle Soreness after gym, twice?!

Question: Muscle Soreness after gym, twice?
Basically I recently joined the gym, went for the first time exactly a week ago (Tuesday 29th March) and worked myself a bit too hard I guess, and had muscle soreness until last Friday (1st April). So I was fine on Saturday, went to the gym again, and since Sunday my muscles have been really sore again. I didn't think I worked myself THAT hard, are my muscles still getting used to the new strains I'm putting on them?

Also any suggestions for how to relieve my muscle soreness would be appreciated, I heard ibuprofen helps but it doesn't seem to have any effect.

Answers:

Don't stress, it's perfectly normal.
Before and after exercising, be sure to stretch. Make sure that you warm up AND warm down.
If you make an effort to spend a good 10 minutes stretching properly at the end of your workout, you'll notice a massive difference.

Its just yout muscles adapting to all the pressure they are put under. It will fade eventually the more times you go. If u go the gym everyday its a good idea NOT to use bumbells everytime u go. As your muscles get bigger they tear + need time to heal. I recommend deep heat. U can buy it at your local chemist for £3.

Experience

its because your first starting again. your muscle fibers need to get used to the excersize. i wouldnt take any ibuprofen, instead what i do is embrace the soreness as a positive thing. i love the feeling of being sore after the gym

Your muscles will always hurt after going to the gym, eat Creatine before and after workouts
