Can someone help work out why i might've fainted yesterday?!

Question: Can someone help work out why i might've fainted yesterday?
ok so my gran was taken into hospital and i was with her. My brother, cousin, grandad and i were standing around her bed and suddenly i felt like i was really tired and my legs started to hurt, then i woke up and i was on the floor. i have good health and i'm not diabetic or epileptic or anything like that. i'd eaten at around 1pm and was in hospital around 6pm. i'm only 15 so why might this have happened?

Answers:

It could have been stress from seeing your grandmother in the hospital. Stress can cause all sort of medical problems. If you continue to feel this way then it would be best to see the Dr.

Malnutrition can always been a symptom of fainting, but it sounds like you ate. If you stand for a long period of time with your knees locked, it blocks a lot of your blood flow - like a kinked hose. This is the number one cause of fainting. Next time you're standing, just make sure you don't lock your knees and you will be fine! :)

I've fainted quite a few times.

With me anyway, it's been caused by either:

low blood sugar from going too long without eating
being sick (eg: with the flu)
getting up too quickly (low blood pressure)
seeing blood
OR
visiting someone in hospital (I couldn't go into hospitals for ages).

There are lots of reasons for fainting; best to get checked out by your doctor. Take care:)
