When doing push-ups my shoulders hurts?!
Question: When doing push-ups my shoulders hurts?
Last time i visited my school doctor, he did say i have a very wide shoulder span.
Answers:
Done correctly, push-ups shouldn't harm your shoulder or back at all. The key is to keep your upper body straight as you push up, whether pivoting from your toes (the classic position_ or from your knees (the "modified" push-up). If you arch your back or shoulder, you'll strain it. That's a common mistake, so people who have had shoulder problems should probably skip push-ups.
I hope this helps you. And good luck.
Well it's only natural for them to hurt. When performing this excerise you are putting a lot of presure and weight onto the shoulders and arms. I workout frequently.
Perhaps if you do them on your knees, it will take less strain off the shoulders, or just don't go down as far.
