Technically, it's not a bad thing. Now let me ask you something.

When do you have school?
Yes, during the day.

So now there's a reason why this cycle is "unhealthy". And it's true, that once you stay up late, and wake up past noon, it becomes your cycle. And it may hard to reverse at first but, have no fret. This happened to me. You can change it easily. So cause we're humans and live in this world we've created, we have important things in the day, like SCHOOL, WORK, SHOPPING, DOCTOR, DENTIST, EATING, WORK, CHORES, SOCIAL LIFE, FRIENDS, FAMILY, ETC. This is the human's cycle, and we've built up everything around this. So if you keep this cycle up, then your life will suck because the DAY is very important!

I used to stay up all night. I loved it. And sleep all day. But since I'm working to be a singer. Lack of sleep / sleep deprivation was ruining my lifestyle. I could not sing at all because of this and because of stress. So to change it, For at least 1 week, do NOT sleep at the day even if you get sleepy. Then choose your sleep time. I'd say 9pm-11pm. Wake up early. Then again repeat. Just DON'T sleep at all during the day. And since you'll at first be sleepy at the day because that's the time you sleep right now. Just DON'T sleep. NO naps! And once 9pm arrives.. There! You're fast asleep. Now just keep it up for at least 1 week. And congrats, you have reversed it!

FACT: Your immune system recharges itself when you sleep, so if you have a bad sleeping pattern. Then, you are more likely to get sicker more often and you'll never feel like the day is long enough.

if you sleep all day you wont be sleepy at night so you stay up all night...
and if you stay up all night you will be sleepy during the day and fall asleep...
it's a cycle, and if you got used to that cycle then it will be YOUR cycle..
it's nothing unusual, a lot of people are like that but i can't say it's a good thing either
it will still be better if you sleep during the night and be awake during the day...
and you are 13, if you are asleep all day you are missing out on life...

i suggest that you try to stay up all day then when night time comes, SLEEP...
then get your sleep pattern back to normal....

you are either nocturnal (!) or you have thrown off your sleeping patterns (circadian rhythms) by sleeping at late hours and/or waking up way past noon.

Maybe it's a medical problem. You should really go to the doctors. Good Luck
