Question: Afraid I might have to have surgery on my knee. Can someone please give me some advice?
Well, I'm seriously double jointed (aka hyperflexive) and all my life I've had problems with my knees. Now they are popping out of place, and back in. I really can't imagine anything more painful than the instant that knee cap moves to the side. It hurts so badly it brought me to the floor... I broke several bones in my foot once and laughed at someone for freaking out about it turning purple.
I just got the call back about my MRI and they patella (knee cap) did move, and they say it's 50% -50% that I might need surgery. I'm not even out of high school yet and they want me to have knee surgery?! Needless to say, I'm scared Sh**less, other than praying (believe me I have been) does anyone have any advice? or happy endings of knee surgeries? I'd REALLY appreciate some of that right now =(

I've never had knee surgery, but last December I had most of my left femur removed and replaced. My knee was effected because they had to take out muscle which supported it. I am able to walk around now and the surgery was fine. My huge scars are all healed and I am now in physical therapy. I think you are gonna be fine.
