i was with my friend on a seasaw at the park n she jumped off n i fell and the seasaw hit my knee realy hard and i cant move it and it looks swollen but idk

Answers:

If a bone was broken in your knee you would not be here asking if it is, you would be in the emergency room already, that is not to say that you did not injure your knee, but since the knee is very complex, many things could be wrong with it so ask your parents to take you to the emergency room to have it thoroughly examined by a doctor.

Well.. You can't really break your knee, but you can dislocate/bruise it.

It might just be a nasty bruise, but I'd suggest icing the area down 30 minutes on and 30 minutes off. '
If you can't see the doctor ask your mom/dad/guardian to rent some crutches from your grocer/drug store (Like Walgreens) and see if that place also has a knee brace. If you can't see your doctor for a while, use the crutches (They're only about 10$, and a knee brace is only like 15$ or so. Not too much) and try not to limp or put a lot of weight on your knee. If you limp your body can get accustomed to the walk and it can affect your gait. (Length of your walk).

An x-ray could help, but so can your doctor. If it IS swelling (It's bigger than usual, purple/blue/dark red, and hurts even with the slightest touch) then PLEASE ice it down for about 30 minutes while laying down and trying not to focus on it.

Ibuprofen/Advil/Tylenol is probably going to be a good friend for you.

If you wanna get technical, you can't really "break" your knee, however you can injure the tissue or dislocate it, which is probably what you did. Ice it and stay off of it while you call your personal doctor.
This happened to me at summer camp so I feel your pain.
Hope you feel better!

Personal experience:)

It could be a really bad bruise, or it could be broken. The only real way to know for sure is to have an X-ray. In the meantime, you should put some ice on it to help reduce the swelling, and try not to walk on your leg until after you have that X-ray.

I would think that with a broken knee you probably would not be able to walk.
