Why do i want so much sleep?!


Question: Why do i want so much sleep?
I am on spring break and I have been getting a lot of sleep 12 hours and yet I'm still tired I normally get about 6 or 7 hours a night during the school week. I don't have depression. My parents are getting divorced though if that helps and ny dads and alcoholic. I thought that info might help but I really want to know why when I get very little sleep I function great all day but when I get a full good night of sleep I'm still tired and will fall asleep a couple hours after I wake up. Example if I got to bed at 12am then wake up 12pm I will take a nap at 3 or 4 pm then go back to bed at 12 or 1 am.

I am 17 years old and a full time student

some people don't need 8 full hours of sleep to energize their body and it seems like you don't either.



Your probobly having your growth spurt, during your growthspurt teenagers can sometimes sleep up to 20 hours a day!



You are over sleeping. Try going to sleep earlier and wking up earlier. Or still go to sleep late, but wake up early. Too much sleep can be bad for u.
