How long does this usually last?!
Question: How long does this usually last?
My throat started to hurt on thursday night. Yesterday it was on and off pain. Today all day my throat was killing me. I've also been weak and lightheaded and ive had trouble hearing. It hurts when i talk and kills when i swallow. I've had tylenol, cepacol, ibuprofen, throat drops, jolly rAanchers, yogurt, i tried te and gargling salt water but not too much result. Any idea on how longer this will last? My mother who is a nurse said usually 24-48 hours.. she said i probably have tonsilitis and i dont have white spots so i dont think its strep.. how much longer will i have to deal with this? thanks

i had the same symptoms, went to the doctor, and he said i had a sinus infection and put me on anti biotics for two weeks. ive been dealing with this for like a week now, although the sore throat only lasted like three or four days, its the mucus that started to pour out my nose after the sore throat cleared up that is still bothering me.
