Hurts when i drink Alcohol?!

Question: Hurts when i drink Alcohol?
Sometimes when i have a few drinks (1-4 drinks) alcohol mostly bourbon or rum my stomach hurts right under my rib cage in the middle and my right shoulder/upper arm & right collar bone to a point that i feel like i want to vomit but i never vomit if i stop drinking after a wile about 10-30 min it stops but if i have another drink it starts up Again.
also this is not all the time its like 1 out of 4 time i drink/go out. anyone have a an idea why this happens?

Answers:

Hi,
If this happens after alcohol, I think you are experiencing a heartburn.
This is because alcohol is very difficult for digestion and it relaxes the lower esophageal sphincter. This seal, which separates the esophagus from the stomach, is responsible for ensuring that stomach acid stays in the stomach. When this seal is weakened, stomach acid can back up into the esophagus - thats the reason you feel the pains.
Please check this article about how beer can cause heartburn - it is true for any alcohol drink.

Good luck.

Ok when you see musculo-skeletal problems like this it could be the sign of a more serious condition. One of those is non-hodgekins lymphoma. While this is really rare ( and more than likely you do not have it), it would be worth it to check this out with your doctor.

I wish you the best ( and I hope it's not serious).

Just stop drinking alcohol. You'll be happier and live longer.

I agree with Fanny Glasscock(smart girl).
