What are the electric shocks i feel in my leg?!

Question: What are the electric shocks i feel in my leg?
I have no diseases or diabetes nor am I sick. I am almost 18 and female and they started two months ago where I get this rapid feeling in my right leg which feels like an electric shock. Although it happens in an instant (less than a second) it hurts so bad that I cry. I would appreciate proper answers that could help me. Thanks in advance.

Answers:

Lumbar spine problems can cause pain in the lower extremities that feels like an electric shock. Nerves provide a pathway for information to go to and from your brain and body. In many common spine conditions, the nerves that travel to your brain are pinched or compressed. This pressure on the nerve can cause abnormal sensations, commonly experienced as electric shock pains. When the nerve that runs from your spinal cord to you leg is pinched, you may experience an electric shock pain traveling down your legs.

Conditions that can cause nerve pressure leading to electric shock pains include:

Herniated Disc.
Spinal Stenosis.
Sciatica.

Pain killers such as ibuprofen may help.
See your health care provider as soon as possible (neurologist), for consultation.
I hope this helps you. And good luck.
