Is my ankle fractured or sprained?!

Question: Is my ankle fractured or sprained?
So my ankle is not swollen and it never bruised but it gets deep throbbing pains sometimes and hurts really bad for 5 minutes and then goes away. I can walk on it but when i jump i can a pain through my leg. What is going on? should i get an xray?

Answers:

sounds like you might have a crack in the bone
a hair line fracture maybe
muscle pain and throbbing might be associated with sprain
swelling is also associated with sprain
best get it checked
and wear flats and don't jump on it please

I would go to the doctor, only they can tell for sure. It also depends on how you injured it. If it was more of a blunt trauma, then it may be fractured. If you just landed on it wrong or twisted it, it's probably a sprain. If the pain just started happening, with no incident causing it to be injured, then it may be something more serious.

Only a doctor could tell you that through an x-ray. Go to your doctor and ask him!
