Why do I keep getting red eyes?!
Question: Why do I keep getting red eyes?
Answers:
You have an allergy to something. What it is may be an investigative act. You may be developing infections related to the inflammation and lowered resistance that goes along with it, OR you may just have really inflamed eyes..First-see a doc for some inexpensive antibiotic eye drops. Pink eye doesn't go on for 10 months off and on. The allergy could be anything from detergent to the stuffing in your pillows to environmental(air vents are dirty, seasonal, mold in the bathroom closet)
I would bet on the seasonal allergies(honestly, I have had them and alot of people I know and patients have had it lately too) If it is seasonal, an allergist can test you to see exactly what it is(a square sheet is placed on your skin that scratches you with all kinds of different things you could be allergic to under a number, the spots that react are matched to the number which is matched to the allergen) then you are given injections weekly of the thing you are allergic to(in a very weak solution) and the strength of the allergen gradually increased beyond what is in the environment until you become pretty much immune to it. (I wish we could all do this at birth the the seasonal stuff./...yuck!)
If it is in the house, try swapping out pillows, or if you love your pillows, put a plastic cover(sold at any dept store) over the pillow(under the case) and try that. Keep a journal to see if you can pinpoint things(days you visit a house with a cat etc) Some people have severe allergies to normal every day things. You can try taking Benadryl over the counter at bedtime to help clear it up a little quicker(just remember-stick to the dose on the bottle and drink more fluids while you take it)

Is it the white of your eye that goes red or the eyelid? If it's the white of your eye, maybe pink eye? If it's the eyelid there are a few different infections/conditions that can cause that like styes or blepharitis. See your doctor, you might need some medication to get rid of the problem for good.
There are some other causes too like allergies or problems with your tear ducts [if your eyes are too dry they can get really irritated]. Anyway, sounds like you definitely need to see the doctor. I would go today or tomorrow so they can actually see what it looks like.
you might have a disease. go verify with an eye doctor to see what's up.
