Question: How do you fall sleep when you're not tired?
I'm thirteen and I stay up until like four or five in the morning and sleep until like two. (I go to online school.) I know I shouldn't stay awake so late but I can't help it, it's the only time I can really relax. My mom stays up late too but she's usually in another room or on the computer or something. And I just watch tv or read or something. I have two cousins both under the age of three that come over almost every day so I can't really go in the living room unless I want to be attacked by babies! So it's kind of nice to be able to be in the living room and have it be completely quiet. But Tuesday through Friday I have AIMS testing and I have to get up at 8:00. But I just can't go to bed early! If I go lay down at one I still probably won't fall asleep until four. I'll just toss and turn for hours because I'm not tired. Tonight I'm going to stay up late and my dad is going to wake me up at ten so I'll (Hopefully) be tired. Probably not though. That's still five or six hours of sleep and I'll be up till at least three still. How can I fall asleep or make myself tired when I'm not..? Thank you!

You have got yourself into a bad habit which is easy to do. You are probably a person who does'nt need alot of sleep. I have two suggestions for you. One is just try going to sleep 1/2 earlier than normal. When you are ok with than, then try another 1/2 hr and keep doing that until you are able to go to sleep at a more reasonable time. The second suggestion is not to do anything that is stimulating after 11 at the latest. Do relaxing activities and that should help. And one last tip, makes sure you get outside in the fresh air during the day, don't sit inside doing nothing. Good luck.

Try doing YouTube videos when you can't sleep. Talk about things that comes through your mind while tossing and turning. Maybe talking a lot can help you fall asleep easier.

or u can try excersisng during the day. that way u would end ip being tired at night
