Why wont my puppy eat or drink anything?!

Question: Why wont my puppy eat or drink anything?
My puppy will be 8 weeks old on Friday and today she wont eat or drink anything. All she has been doing is laying around. Shes gone to the bathroom a few times as usual but we think that she and our other dog might have gotten into something last night. Our older dog (shes a year old) threw up what looked like water, grass, and like foam of some sort. I don't know, it was white and looked like foam. She seems fine now but Im still worried about the puppy. Do you know what could be wrong with her?

Answers:

Yes, there is probably something wrong with her. A puppy that age should be eating several times a day. Especially if she is a small breed puppy in which case she might not yet be able to control her blood sugar without frequent meals. If she is not eating it is imperative you get her to the vet immediately.

You should not have a puppy that young. They are not supposed to be separated from their mother until 8 weeks so you should be able to see the problem there. I would check her stool for worms. Also if she isn't fully vaccinated she could have picked something up from her friend. You should definitely take her to the vet to get checked up. Early notice is the best sort of notice.

go call a vet and just talk it over on the phone. tell him he threw up. he will probably ask how it looked like and when it happen. he'll tell you if there is a problem or not

good luck :)

There is a common saying in the animal world...

Nothing alive will EVER starve itself.

Probably slightly ill etc.. don't worry.

Call your vet.
