I just got a prescription for new glasses, and I had to order bi-focals. For any of you out there who have had to start using them, how long did it take you to get used to them? I know what the books, etc say, but I would like to hear from some folks who have actually had to get used to wearing bi-focals. I got the no-line type. They have not come in yet--I get them next week. I just wonder if it is as bad as some people say. Any input from anyone else out there? I guess it is true....time wiats for no one. CRAP! Me! Bi-focals! (laughing and crying at the same time)

Hi Sabrina, bi focals aren't hard to use, just remember when walking look up not down towards your feet, that way you useing upper part of lense.
Try reading a lot to get use to where the bi focal begins. If you drive you might want to drop your head a little at first when looking at speedometer.
Now stepssssssssssss going up should be no problem, comeing down keep your head in a steady position not looking up an down.ok?
Once you become use to them you will be quite happy to see things clearly again. Good Luck.
