Why do i need to throw away my contacts after 30days?
i wear normal contacts for my eyes, and im supposed to change new ones after 30days.. but do i have to? cuz they still work and it seems like a waste if i throw them out, are they gonna affect my eyes if i don't change them?

overwear of soft contacts causes all kinds of problems from increased risk of infection or inflammation (as mentioned in the link above) to decreased oxygen to the eye and long term corneal problems like neovascularization and corneal limbal stem cell dysfunction. i tell patients that contact lens overwear like you describe is just like smoking 2 packs a day...just b/c you have no symptoms *NOW* from overwearing your contacts doesnt mean you never will. its just a matter of time.
