Blind one 1 eye / after kidney surgery she couldn't see out of the other....?!

Question:

Blind one 1 eye / after kidney surgery she couldn't see out of the other....?

My daughter was seen the evening of surgery by a resident who said she would confer with the surgeon. I requested that she see an opthamologist. Next day "the same lady" on duty resident and later the anestisioligist (came by multiple times )... The anestisiologst said their was no need for an opthamologist... ( it's normal happens often and it will remedy soon)... It was weird having the anestiesioligist come to her room so much... that afternoon the surgeon came in and asked how it went with the opthamologist. I told him that those who had been coming in (including the nurses) said that their was no need-althogh I never failed to reqeust it. Apparently he ordered it the evening before according to him and stated that although the anesteisiologist said it was normal he dissagreed (siad he'd never seen this)...an opthamologists came soon after. Apparently her cornea was cut up by tape. have you heard of this? She sees much better now...is thier anything I should ask or do?
