Are contact lenses for me?
I recently got glasses as I am short sighted - I can see, just not in detail when things are far away.
I find myself not wearing them much (I should really wear them all the time except when reading/writing and working close up) as they are bulky to carry around and uncomfortable to wear with my fringe and oily hair (too much info? sorry!).
However, I don't find myself needing glasses too much, I just cope with the blur. Could contact lenses be for me, or are they only for people with quite bad vision?

Sounds like contact lenses could be ideal for you. They're not just for people with quite bad vision, anyone who is short sighted can benefit. There are lots of types around now as well, and the new soft lenses are very easy to wear. There are even the new Ortho-K lenses which you put in at night before you go to sleep and take out when you wake up - they re-shape your eye whilst you're asleep!
Go to your local optician (not the chains, try a small local shop) and they'll be able to advise you.
