i have acuvue 2.
I accidently fell asleep for 4 hours one night ago.
i woke and both eyes were red, and my contacts were hard to take out.
I put an ice pack on my eyes for 10 minutes, went to sleep and my eyes weren't red anymore.
That was yesterday morning.
Now today, my eyes feel like there's something in it, and it was a little red and itchy last night, went away and today it's a little red and itchy in the corners.
I am deathly afraid because i loved wearing them, and i know that
it's not that big of a deal (it's not like i have a cornea ulcer or somethin) but my mom will freak and i will not be able to wear them at all.
i don't know if this has anything to do with anything but i have eczema, and i got conjunctivis last year, it went away by itself, but every once in a while my eyes have discharge (when i wake up) and it's gone for the rest of the day.
Answers:
Confirm with your eye doctor on which product you should use to disinfect your lenses and it wouldn't hurt to make an appt. with them either just to be on the safe side.
When I fall asleep with my contacts in and I finally wake up I make sure to put some eye drops in before I take them out. That leaves less of a chance for your lenses to tear and will be alot easier on your eyes.
