Can LASIK surgery correct my monocular vision??
I've had monocular vision for about 15 years. I've always functioned well with it as my right eye is only a little near-sighted. Lately that eye has been bothering me and I fear that it's getting worse. Can LASIK correct my one eye? Does this work for monocular vision -- or will I be stuck with a contact lense?

My PRK surgeon said this:
For patients with presbyopia, he has done surgeries to make a person monocular...takes about 6-8 weeks to get used to this...and if someone cannot get used to the monocular vision status, he will go in and do the surgery on the other eye to make the equal vision.
Now, this was my surgeon. You will most likely need reading glasses.
This is actually a very good question for a LASIK surgeon. If you're interested, go have a consult...research your surgeons in your area.
It is possible to correct monovision...may be surgeon choice as to if they will do so and my surgeon states that reading glasses most likely will be necessary when he corrects that one eye.
