My girlfriend was complaining to me that her eyes hurt, upper and lower eye lids!

My girlfriend was complaining to me that her eyes hurt, upper and lower eye lids, and her eye balls.?

she was in an accident a few years ago, that had caused a few broked bones in her face around her right eye. whitch has effected her tear ducts, so i suggested she try eye drops. that didnt help, the day before she first complained about this we had gone swimming and wore gogles, so i thought the pressure from them might have caused the discomfort.

however i just saw her and she says her left eye is now the only one bothering her. her upper eyelid is swallen across the entire arch where the eye lashes grow from, its about 2 - 2.5 times the normal size (looks like someone punched her in the eye) my first thought was a sty ,"st-eye" (not sure how to spell that) i have had a few of these but it never went across the whole eye for me only a small portion of the eye lid, and it didnt have any "base point", like no visible point from where it started her eye is just uniformly swallen across the top.

any ideas on what is could be?

yes, entirely possible that the goggles were too tight or were involved in swelling her eyelid.

which could need medical attention. she needs to have this looked at, as there are many other possibilities...some dangerous and some not. schedule an eye exam with an optometrist or ophthalmologist
