I went to my eye docter about a month ago he told me I needed glasses really badly cuz my vision is really weak I asked for contacts and he told me there is no such thing as contacts for how weak my eyes are if I get them I will have to wear glasses and contacts. is this true????

Contact lens laboratories can custom make contact lenses that have VERY strong prescriptions like -18.00 etc... it is very unlikely the reason your doctor said you couldn't have contact lenses was due to the strength of your prescription. There had to be another reason why they didn't think they would be suitable for you maybe like an extremly high amount of astigmatism or a certain eye condition.... it is true that certain prescriptions do not exist in conventional types of lenses. If you really want to get contact lenses there is a possibility to have them custom made. In saying that I do not know why your doctor said contacts were not possible for you... it is very likely that is true!
I think you should get your eye doctor to explain the reason why you cannot get contact lenses to you again... I cannot see it being due to the strength... Obviously there is some underlying reason!
