Where is the best place to get an eye exam and a prescription at a reasonable price?

I had cataract surgery at Texas eye Institute, my follow up recheck visit will be $170.00,,,,too much. Please if someone knows a reasonable place in the Clear Lake Texas area let me know please!!!!!!! I had insurance at the time of surgery but no longer Thanks..

There is a free drug card that may help with the prescriptions. You can follow this link http://drugcardamerica.com/index.aspx?af... and print out the card on your computer. Since it's free it doesn't hurt to try.

For the exam you may want to call around to some of the bigger companies and compare prices. $170 does seem a bit excessive. In my area Walmart, Target and Costco all have reasonably priced exams.
