What will happen to my contacts if I sleep in them?!

Question:

What will happen to my contacts if I sleep in them?

Sometimes I get really tired and just want to take a nap in them. However, my friend told me that her sister slept in her contacts and her lenses got stuck in the brain because the eyes roll back when you sleep.

Answers:

lol it is impossible for your contacts to get stuck behind your eyes...if they get displaced then can get caught in your eyelids that is as far as they will go.
If you wear daily wear lenses for too long or when you are sleeping you are risking many other serious complications!
When you wear contact lenses that are not designated for the purpose of sleeping in them you will be depriving your cornea of oxygen!!! It is very important that your cornea has oxygen to keep it healthy. A cornea deprived of oxygen can result in many problems such as: increased risk of infection, corneal ulcer, corneal infiltrate, corneal ulcer, corneal neovascularization.... these complications can be serious and can result in a persons inability to wear contact lenses and even loss of vision.
Keep your eyes healthy and wear your contact lenses as recommended by your doctor :)
