Contact lens followup brand questions... What to do?

The doctor tested my tear production (+1) which turned out fine. He then said I should be using drops 6 times a day to rewet my contacts until my cornea gets used to them (I tried them out for 7 days w/drops). I asked for another brand. upon which he stated 2 cases. 1 that all contacts are the same and that if I cant stand this brand then I wont be able to stand any other. I said I was determined to wear contacts and to let me try something else (ie acuvue oasys). Then he claimed the brand he gave me was the absolute best for oxygen transmission and water content etc. I said "But they're generics" and he went back to they're all the same defense.OK.
He tried for 10minutes to get me to keep trying my original trial pair, and even offered several sample boxes of rewetting drops. I finally said "PRETTY PRETTY PLEASE Give me another brand" to which he walked out and had a receptionist hand me 02 optix. I made another 2 week followup, and they didnt check me with them on. What on earth?

Why would they do this? I know contacts ar enot one size fits all although he claimed this to be the case. And yes he said he perscribes the original brand he gave me to %100 of his patients with non color lenses and has never had a problem with one of them.

Im glad they finally gave me my other brand, but I feel like im dealing with SO much opposition.

Because of the expense, its costed me $95 just for the (improper) contact fittings... I really cant afford that again on top of buying lenses..

File a complaint with your state optometry board.
This guy apparently does not care about his patients.
I went thru. 3 different brands of contacts before I found the kind that was right for me.
