Does nail polish give off a residue that can hurt the eyes?
I am a contact lens wearer and so is my 9 year old son (I insert them daily). I have pretty much given up on wearing nail polish for fear that residue might hurt his eyes. Is this something I need to worry about?

most nail polish is either acetone or alcohol. both will burn like fire if you get it in your eye, but neither will cause permanent damage. so dont be too worried about "hurting" his eyes. you cant cause any damage...you could only cause some stinging and burning.
nelle is right...wash your hands and you'll likely be totally fine
