Red watery eyes after staring at computer all day?
Hi there
I have been working in an office job now for 2 years and I now wear glasses.
My job involves concentrated computer work and I find at the end of the day, my eyes really hurt and are usually red.
I use eye drops, but it seems they still get red and sore.
Esp if I have not gone to bed early the night before..they look quite bad the next day after staring at the computer all day.
I thought glasses would help and eye drops...
what else should I be doing?

if you are NOT a contact lens wearer you're likely experiencing dryness from infrequent blinking. its commonly assumed that heavy computer users dont blink enough. try some artificail tears. optive and systane are my personal favorites.
if you ARE a contact lens wearer, then its either dryness as mentioned above (use optive) or its hypoxia (low oxygen) from wearing a not-very-oxygen-permeable lens. you may need to be refit in a higher oxygen lens like acuvue oasys, purevision, o2 optix, etc etc
