Is it ok to wear my contacts past the expiration?!

Is it ok to wear my contacts past the expiration?
the expiration is 2 weeks ive worn em for more than 2 weeks and my right lense ripped .. is that why?or is it because i handled it too rough?

NEVER WEAR A RIPPED LENSE!!!!! This can cut your eye and cause and infection, not to mention i uncomfortable as hell. How in the world can you stand to leave it in ripped?
The cause of the tear could be rough handling or the expiration date.
You cannot use contact past the expiration of the actual lense. You can wear them past the expiration of the rx. For example, most contact rx are good for 1 year from date of exam. So I could go to the store and get a box of lenses the day before expiration and wear them til I run out.
Improper use of contacts can seriously damage the eye. Never mess around with your contact health. If the lense is damaged in any way, dont wear it. Clean the lenses often, and change the lenses as recommended.
