What's happened to my right eye? I was on a canoe that bumped dead into a rock.!

Question:

What's happened to my right eye? I was on a canoe that bumped dead into a rock. Ever since I've had floaters

and "stuff" floating around that blurs my vision more just in that eye. I went to an opthalmologist who said my eye actually was fine. It seemed like his procedure could have made me blur more after being dilated chemically and using such a bright light looking into my pupil for minutes. Could that harm the eye?? Anyone know what helps bring an eye back to normal-- herbs? I'm taking bilberry. Would lutein help?

Answers:

Lutein is actually a vitamin that eye doctor's reccommend for patients with Age Related Macular Degeneration or a family history of the eye disease. It probably won't help your blurriness. If you went to the ophthalmologist and he said you were fine, I wouldn't worry. When he dilated you eye and shined the bright lights, he was looking at the back of your eye where your retina is located. He was able to see if it was still securely attached and healthy. You just probably hit your head hard enough that it will take awhile for your vision to return to normal.
