How did you go about finding a good eye doctor?
I've just been going to the lens crafters doc and want to find a new doctor but I'm not sure the best way to find someone new, good, and nice.

its hit or miss. some of the best docs i know work next door to lenscrafters, eyemasters, pearle, etc. and 2 of the biggest idiots in my town are private practice docs.
but for the most part IMO private practice optometrists generally have more to lose if you are unhappy, and generally speaking the "commercial" practices like lenscrafters, etc are more interested in getting you out quicker (like i said above, thats certainly not always true).
you really have to ask your friends/neighbors who they like the best, and most of the time you end up just trying a few until you find one you like
