What makes your astigmatism worse?!


Question:

What makes your astigmatism worse?

My optometrist said that my astigmatism is worse compared to 3 years ago. I thought that astigmatism is due to an irregularly shaped cornea or lens and that you're born with it. How can this get worse with age?
