Do contacts hurt? Are they hard to use? Are they hard to take in and out?

All right this is coming from a 33 year old that never wore contacts until last year. Further, up to that point I was phobic about anything going near my eye. Contacts do not hurt unless htey are fitted wrong, backwards, tore, or have something on them.

As far as hard to use...depends. If you have a good cleaning solution that helps. There are some pretty bad solutions out there. Even with good solution, they are sometimes a pain to take the time to clean, but you have to do it.

Putting them in...I have days where I get them in on the first try and I have days where it takes a few tries. It gets better with practice.

Taking them out....for me much easier, but at first I had a lot of trouble getting over the fact of putting my finger into my eye.

Most importantly though, you must go to a good optometrist. They will find a brand that works for you. A good one will also teach you how to clean, handle, put them in, take them out, and they will require you to do so before they let you out of the building. If they do not, go somewhere else.

I love my contacts. As a person who enjoys the outdoors (golfing, fishing, hunting), wearing contacts has been a very strong change in my quality of life.
