THC definitely *does* lower intraocular pressure. its true.
however contrary to popular belief no eye doctor has ever prescribed "pot" to treat "glaucoma" b/c the intraocular pressure lowering effect of THC only lasts like 8 minutes. contrast that to the most popular and effective glaucoma eyedrop medications right now which have approx the same effect as THC but last in excess of 24 hrs (prostaglandin analogs...the most popular and known one is "xalatan"). as a result, there is no "medicinal marijuana" for glaucoma and probably never will be. the only "medicinal marijuana" that i know about is for nausea and appetite loss. so your eye doctor is not the one to "hook you up"...lol (i get this question at least a few times a month)
but the answer to the question is a resounding "YES"...pot definitely does lower intraocular pressure.
