Is it important to find contact lens with a high water content?!
Question:
Is it important to find contact lens with a high water content?
My old Z6 daily wear lenses were 38% water, and were a little dry at times to my eye and irritated. I'm getting some Coopervision lens that are 42.5% water. Is this any better?
Answers:
water content is only one of the many, many factors. o2 transmission, design, diameter, base curve, thickness...etc etc etc all go into what makes a lens more comfortable and fit well.
the real answer is...whatever fits the best on your eye w/o being too tight or too loose or too large or too small...and whatever your doc thinks is the healthiest.
that z6 is a non-disposable and most coopervision lenses are disposables. thats a step int he right direction IMO...for most patients disposables are healthier (less chance of deposits, etc)
