Is there a way to tell from a contact lense prescription what my vision is?!
Question:
Is there a way to tell from a contact lense prescription what my vision is?
I need to know my vision (20/20, 20/60, etc.) but all I have is my contact lense prescription (-2.50, -4.25, etc.). Is there a way to tell from that what my vision is?
Answers:
Well when wearing your contact lenses your visual acuity should be close to 20/20! Without any correction -2.50 would be around 20/200 or 20/300. Your other eye that has -4.25 could be compensated because it is over -4.00. Depending on the distance your prescription was refracted at your original prescription before compensation could have been around -4.50! So in that eye without correction your visual acuity would be around 20/400 or 20/500. Anyways as long as your vision can be corrected to near 20/20 then you have nothing to worry about! Hope this helps a bit :)
