Should I use Clear Care contact lens solution or use the old plain kind?!

Question:

Should I use Clear Care contact lens solution or use the old plain kind?

Well with Clear Care I have to take them out, put them in the socket, rinse, and wait 6 hours. AND you have to use a LOT of the solution to fill the case up, and I heard it's best in confort but it actually feels the same as other brands to me. Should I still use it or use the simple & easy way?

*** I started using this one because on the news they said that there wads a recall for my old solution so I had to get a new one.

Answers:

it depends on the person. what did your doc say? you probably need to ask your doctor's office.

that being said, clear care is one of the best ways to thoroughly clean your contacts. if you have problems with protein/lipid deposits on your lenses, or if you have seasonal/ocular allergies then you probably need to be using clear care IMO.

but there are multiple steps and patients often get frustrated. for most patients who are not known protein/lipid depositors and do not have ocular allergy, multipurpose solutions are probably fine. most people worldwide use multipurpose solutions b/c of their ease of use.
