My astigmatism lets me see shadow images?
like i see part of the image above it, but its sort of transparent shadowy...if i keep wearing glasses is there a chance it will get better? im nearsighted..although i can still see far

another name for this is "monocular diplopia". the most common cause of this complaint is having the amount or orientation of the astigmatism be slightly wrong or off. so you might need a new pair of glasses or an exam b/c your Rx may have slightly changed.
that being said, some (rare) prescriptions will have this effect no mater what the Rx is.
you may need a new exam or a new pair. if this is a brand new pair of glasses you're talking about, take them back and ask them to re-evaluate the amount and orientation of the astigmatism.
more rarely cataracts (or any media opacity) can cause this...but in an otherwise young/healthy person its usually a problem with the astigmatism correction
