Question about contact lens name brands...?!

Question about contact lens name brands...?

Are there any major differences? I like the lenses that last a year, and I got a prescription for them...I can choose between two namebrands, Z6 by Ocular Sciences or CooperVision Silver 07 lens. Both last one year. Have you tried any of these namebrands at all? Or is there any difference?

true they are (now) made by the same manufacturer and have the same material, so i'm sure they are similar. but they are different designs with a different manufacturing process. they come in different parameters and have different base curves...they are different.

they are both "name brands". there is no real "generic" in the contact lens industry. not in the pharmaceutical sense (same exact product but the "patent" has run out so that multiple manufacturers have the right to make it...)
