Been wearing glasses for 6 years. Eyesight getting worse. Am I going blind?!


Question:

Been wearing glasses for 6 years. Eyesight getting worse. Am I going blind?

Is it possible I might be going blind? I'm only fourteen and I can't see my hand 8 inches in front of my face.

also, i got new glasses last year, so maybe i need new ones. my mum syas im not going blind. and when i put my hand in front of my face, it gets a little blurry. i probably just have bad eyes or somethin.


Answers:

it's totally normal for your eyesight to worsen while you're a teenager. it should stabilize by the time you're 20. this happened to me too, it's nothing to worry about.
