What do you think about about changing eye color?

I found a website newcoloriris.com that can surgerically change your eye color but it looks fake to me. When you look a someones natural eye you can see lines and the dimension in the eye but looking at eyes that have been surgerically changed it's all one soild color and looks fake to me. There is a HUGE problem with these "iris implants," and that is they will provide the patient with a "fixed" pupil size. It is extremely important that our pupil size change throughout the day. The pupil changes when we focus our eyes from distance to near & most importantly, it changes size in response to light...it reduces the amount of light that hits the back of our eyes in the bright sun (when it constricts), and increases in size (dilates) to help us see better in dim rooms (such as movie theaters) by allowing more light to reach the retina (back of the eye).

NewColorIris.com is a company that has created a good product for people who have has serious eye injuries or congenital defects in their eye. I don't think you could find an eye surgeon who would operate on a healthy patient who strictly wanted to change their eye color. Any time the eye is operated on, there is a risk of things going wrong & the patient actually being worse off after surgery.

I partially agree with the Optician, colored contacts can look ridiculous....on patients who try to go from brown eyes to blue. But they can look great on a patient who is going from blue eyes to a vibrant blue color.

...Yes, I think it looks fake. Best of Luck!
