AM NOT BLIND BUT I WANNA GET CONTACTS BUT PEOPLE SAY THEY MAKE YOU GO BLIND, YOUR EYES WILL GET STRATCHED,ETC..... ARE THEY REALLY BAD OR IS IT ALL LIES PLEASE HELP.....!!!

Well if you want contacts to change the color of your eyes... you still need to see an eye doctor for a contact lens fitting! Whether they are prescription or not the same process is involved with fitting the lens... except for testing the visual acuity! An examination is required to make sure your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses... also measurements and tests need to be preformed as well! Sometimes people forget contact lenses are a medical device! They need to be fit by a professional and maintain regular check ups with this professional to prevent harming their eyes. As long as you abide by the proper wear and care of contact lenses and they are fit by a professional they will cause no harm to your eyes. The majority of people that have problems with contact lenses either over wear them or contaminate them by not cleaning them properly or not washing their hands!
