I was actually thinking of getting a couple of these, though they're expensive.

Answers:

You can get contacts that have no correction in them. People do it all the time when they want to change their eye color.

That being said - you still DO need a prescription to obtain these lenses. Whether they have a correction in them or not, they are still a medical device and it is still illegal to obtain them without a written prescription from an Optometrist. Contact lenses are not a "one-size-fits-all" fashion accessory. They are a medical device, regulated by the FDA, and serious complications can arise from getting contacts that don't fit properly. They come in different base curves and diameters and you have no way of knowing what you would need unless you've been to the doctor to have them measure your eyes.

So please be sure you see your doctor before you try to order any contacts. When you order contacts online, they are, by law, supposed to verify the prescription with your eye doctor to make sure that the prescription is valid and they cannot verify it, they won't fill it.
