Question about eye perscription.?!

Question:

Question about eye perscription.?

Hi everyone! When I was at my eye doctor on Tuesday, she finalized my Rx and gave me a pair of contacts to wear until mine came in (she labeled them L and R). After I put in the contacts, I threw the holders away and collected the trash a few hours later. I'm positive that I put the correct contact in the correct eye (my boyfriend held the right holder while I put in the left contact so I wouldn't confuse the two). I've been having problems seeing since I've put these contacts in and I'm starting to wonder if she got my Rx backward.

I remember her explaining that she was increasing my Rx in both eyes. My OLD Rx was:
-4.75 in the left eye
-4.25 in the right eye

I don't have a bill that states what eye is what Rx (I get that when I pick up my contacts), but I DO have a glasses Rx that says the following:
-4.75
SPHERE
-5.50

Based on the information from the glasses Rx, does that mean that my left or right eye is the -4.75?
Any help would be great! Sorry if this is confusing.

Answers:

GREETINGS, if she was increasing the rx for both eyes, then if the left eye was already -4.75 like your old script says it should be a different reading, so I would assume the -4.25 went up to -4.75 for the right eye and the left eye would be higher. It still may be too much of a change for you and that's why you can't see well, I would call her answering service and ask to have her call you, why be miserable all weekend? And if she can't really do anything, then she will know ahead of time you're coming in Monday.
