Question:
1 day Acuve contacts cause my eyes to swell the next morning and turn red when I put them in the next morning.
Could this be an underlying eye problem and should I change contact brands?

if it happens in BOTH eyes every single time you put your contacts in, then it could be an inflammatory condition like "GPC" that would need medical intervention and a trip to the optometrist.
BUT...
some people are just sensitive to the extra-salty saline thats in those contact "flat-packs". something easy to try is to buy some cheapo-saline or contact lens solution and rinse the new contacts off thoroughly before you put them in. that way if its the salt content of the saline that the lenses come in thats bothering you, you'd find out and fix it by rinsing it 1st.
if you try than and you get no relief...then its time to ask your optometrist...
